MS Speed Ad [NOT Resolved]
I dont think its just me but, whenever I get a page that has the
Microsoft Speed ad in the top right corner, it stop the page from
loading beyond the page header. Once the ad has played (about
30 secs. I think) it will then continue to finish loading the page.
Can it be fixed soon please? Thanks.
Edit:Its 45 seconds before the page continues to load!!!

Hmm, must be something with my system at the office because its
running fine at home. Work = Win 2k + IE6 and Home = XP + IE6.
Kind of ironic that a MS ad is giving IE issues.
I looked at FireFox and its just Netscape remade or aomething
like that?

Its the system at work that is giving me the problem.
Work = Win 2k SP4 + IE6 SP1 to be exact.

Firefox is the browser that is knocking out IE usage. Last month IE dropped below 80% usage on many domains (including all three of mine and I know various others) and the browser getting the users was Firefox. And still is.
Anyways... there are so many topics on Firefox I don't want to repeat all the words all over again. It is just a great browser
On the problem side, I could only suggest upgrading, but at work it isn't always possible.

I have had the same problem...just ignored it though.
But sometimes it does take 30+ seconds to load a page when certain adverts appear
I hate adverts...

Seems to be a bit better today. Only 30 seconds and not everytime
that it is displayed.
Even more irony, the ad is for real time communications. Yet thay
are stopping our communications.
What OS and Browser are you running Wokawidget?

I guess someone was listening because the speed ad is really
speeding now! Makes me feel like I'm racing in my Cobra.
If the Mods got themm to fix it, Thanks.

Not resolved
Still 20 lag delay while I am forced to watch a speeding road.
Silly advert...think it's just scoffing bandwidth, which means that the rest of the page has to wait to get it's data.

For some reason, the ad randomly changes flash quality to low. Or wait, it seems to change it back and forth while the ad is displayed! Weird. Just bugs me because if I happen to leave a page while it is low, all flashes are on low quality and I have to change the setting manually...

"Speed is nothing without control"
PLEASE MAKE IT GO AWAY!!!
It seems to be intentionally forcing your page to wait until that advert has fully played once before your page complete's its load.
AND It certainly creates a lag while I'm responding when it plays.
PLEASE Make it go away!

Oops! I was so tired last night that I didnt realize that the
problem was with my system at work and not at home (too much
burning the candle at both ends).
The problem looks like it sucks up 100% CPU while its playing.
Mods please contact M$ about this ad and ask for an improved
version. Help I'm falling asleep waiting for the ad each time I
change the page!
What are the affected OS's and Browsers?
Mine is Win2k and IE 6.

Thanks Martin. I noticed that if I minimize my IE window and then
restore it, that seems to help. Its like its locked up and switching
windows kinda breaks that lock.
Either way, too much CPU utilization.
