Why don't people stutter at the end of words?

When people stutter it's usually like:

w..w..w...whoopass

But why don't people stutter at the end of a word:

whoopass..s..s..s

???

you're looking at it the wrong way. When people stutter in the beginning of a word it's also at the end of the previous word!

What if there wasnt a first word?

Would be

"kick..k..k..k wossname"

thats the end of a word, but not the start of another.
If it was:

"kick..k..k..k..Klienma"

That this would be OK.

Or do they do:

"kick..k..k..k..w..w..wossname"

???
