I am in a bad bind. I had a bad disk that had all of my lab on it. (the labs were built on eachother and due at the end of the quarter) When i went to turn it in is when i found out the disk was bad. The saved copy was at school and was deleted. I am working on redoing the labs but now i only have one week. Can anyone help me. The teacher knows about the disk but is not willing to work with me. If anyone could help i would appreciate it... Thanks

There are commercial software packages available that may possibly help you salvage the disk. One of the tools is the Norton Utilities.

When you say that the "saved copy was at school and was deleted", do you mean that it was on a floppy that was deleted, or do you mean that it was on a hard drive and was deleted. If the latter, have you looked in the school computer's recycle bin. If the computer is network connected then perhaps your school's system administrator has a backup that could yield a copy of your work.

When i saved it it was saved on the schools hardrive in the student directiory. The bin was empty and no backups are done on the school computers accept the ones to keep the network running. There is no server just individual computers. When i asked about them everything gets wiped off the student drive once a week so there is room for others to work

Still, I'd run over to school and check the recycle bin.
