Netgear 108Mbps
I have a few questions on the NETGEAR WGT624 108 Mbps Wireless Firewall Router and NETGEAR WG511T 108 Mbps Wireless PC Card. Does it really deliever 108Mbps? Must I have PERFECT conditions to achive it, and how is the stability when transfering large files? I had a D-Link wireless package, and when transfering large files(300+ Mb) It ran at 4MB/s for one minte, then dropped to 0 B/s. This went on and on until the file was transfered. Anyone having the same problems with Netgear?

Those routers that claim 108mbps only make that claim if you have both their router and their NW card.

and perfect conditions. my wireless goes crazy when my neighbor uses his cordless phone, or I use my microwave oven.
Things just stop for a few seconds. I have learned to live with it.
I do get 11mbs most of the time, transferring files from the workstation.

It works for me pretty well, I can play counter-strike over the wireless with no decrease in speed from a direct connection, but it does slow down (and sometimes lose the connection), say, when I take the computer to the other side of the house.
