AAAAAAAAAARGH, I can't remember[RESOLVED]
what freakin' reference library has to be checked to allow an ADODB object to be created? Can anyone clue me in here? I go through this everytime! Is there a way to include this damn thing globally so I don't have to include this every project? Thanks. I think my frustration is evident.

Grazie. I suppose there's no way to include this library globally, eh in VB VS?

I thought there was a template for the standard project but there
isnt. Dont know where its at, but you could create one of your
own and save it in the Templates directory.

Thanks. You've been most helpful. I saw the activeX control library, but I never associate it with a simple adodb.

Just tested it out. I created a new standard exe project. Added
the reference to ADO. Renamed the form to frmADO and the
project to ADO. Saved it in the ?:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual
Studio\VB98\Template\Projects directory. Closed vb, opened it
again and I could see the ADO project in the dialog window as a
choice for creating a new projects as. Make sure not to save as
something that is already in the template\projects directory.

Great, outstanding. I'm obviously not a whiz at VB. I haven't used it that often.
