Custom Level
How about adding an announcement when a member hits the
4096 + custom level? This would allow other members to be able
to acknowledge the member. I am asking this because Bruce Fox
just hit custom and if it wasn't for a pm I wouldn't of known until
we crossed paths again.
Thanks for this consideration.

AT 4096 a user can already put anything (within reason) they want there.

I just thought it would be nice to be able to know without
having to look the user up or wait til you cross paths.

Oh, I see - I misread your question/suggestion. It's not a bad idea and I'll keep it in mind. Hmmm, I wonder who else is approaching 4096?
BTW because of the way announcements work, all of them that are active at any given time are combined so if I were to create one now for Bruce, it would not be very visible.

True, but what if the subject of the thread was something like
"Custom Level Reached This Week By Bruce Fox, ... " ?
Then members could see without really having to read it unless
several members hit custom that week. Or better yet, something
similar to the birthdays but at the top of the forum.
Thanks.

Is reaching the custom level that important to anyone other than the person that reached the level?
I don't believe this is important enough to put into the forum announcements. The announcements are generally reserved for very critical or unique announcements that impact everyone. I can see adding a post in the feedback or the key forum where that person visits, but not an announcement.
(This is not to say that hitting 4096 posts is not a big milestone -- it is!)
Brad!

Yes, those are good points Brad, but then it would be subjective
to figure out the members "home forum". I like the idea of
something similar to the Birthdays display.
I was just thinking that maybe it would inspire other members to
see that there are members achieving the custom status and
that its reachable.
