I hoped never to get to this, but this time I really don't know how to solve my problem.
I have some very important projects made with VB5 and using MSFlexGrids.
I changed computer, and now run Win98 with Office2000 instead of Win95, and as usual some controls refuse to work because of license related matters.
Using the usual registry tricks I could "restore" the Microsoft optional controls, but MSFlexGrid is a third-party control, and I couldn't find a way to get the license to use it as a developer back!!!
I even tried to contact the original developers of the control, but they told me to turn to Microsoft for advice... I don't know if anybody ever tried to browse through the Microsoft site, but I couldn't find the info I need anywhere.
I am quite desperate, I really hope someone can help me.
Thanks very much in advance.

Find the liscense and other related information on your old machine or someone else who has a similar set up. Write down the pathways and copy the files to the appropriate location. This is very fustrating and time comsuming. But it will work. You mainly need your old liscense, or a valid one. Oh by the way make sure you uninstal VB/VS, clean your cookies and/or system files(use Windows Washer and RegClean), reinstal VB/VS with the valid liscense. Good luck

Thank you!
Actually, after a long browsing of Microsoft's site, I just found a Knowledge Base article pointing to a couple of executables (one for VB5 and one for VB6) which clean and reinstall the license information for ALL controls shipped in the VB CDs.
I don't remember now the path I followed to get this info, but I'll try to backtrack it, so I can post detailed info for other persons who share my same problems.
Thanks again for your kind answer!
