A smiley ends up in the code. And the person that made the thread even tried to help out, but didn't succeed. What is the code supposed to be where the smiley is?

I tried ; ), but that wasn't it. Help!?

Just in case anyone doesn't know about this, there is a little
checkbox that, when posting, you can "disable smilies for this
post". So if your code has any of the characters that make up
some of the smilies, they will not appear, only the actual
characters.

Just a suggestion to the moderators in case they see this. It would be nice if the smileys are always disabled if [ vbcode ] and [ code ] are used.. this way no problems will occur... Just a suggestion.

But what if your vb code had no smilie characters in it? They would
not be able to add any smilies even if they wanted to. If you
preview your post and you see that your vb code is getting
smilies in it, then you can place a space in between the offending
character to disable the smilie.

I explained my self badlly, I meant to make the forum automatically disable smileys not for the whole post, but only for the part marker as VBCODE or CODE (the part between [ vbcode ] and [ /vbcode ])

Yes, then that makes good sense but I dont know if its possible.
Since they can not modify the underlying code of the forum.
Licensing issue. There is no reason I can see of having a smilie in
the code portion of a post.

Well, if they can not change anything themselves they should suggest it to the people who can... User feedback is always the best way to improve oneself.
