QBASIC was one of the DOS-based flavors of BASIC. Came before Visual Basic. I think I used to program in that language, but it's been so long, I can't remember if it was that or GWBASIC or something like that.

i've used a lot of different versions of Basi, including gw-basic.
QB was a M$ product, so if anything were going to run on a mobile device, i was hoping that they would have a way to do it.
someone posted that he had used a 'Qbasic-like' program to develop on his mobile device. hope he reads this.

I'm not super-familiar with all the different OS's and the languages for them when running on a mobile device. I have used VB.NET and C# for the compact framework as well as embedded Visual Basic (EVB)and embedded Visual C++. Of course these run on Microsoft platforms. With Windows Mobile 2002 and 2003, I've stuck with .NET. EVB and EVC++ can run on OS's prior to WM2002 - the name escapes me at the moment.

If you running Palm or something else, there's other options.

Maybe he means EVB or VB.NET for the Compact Framework? Don't know, but if I was going to write for 2002 or 2003, I'd choose VB.NET (or C#) if you can pay for Visual Studio. The embedded languages are a free download from Microsoft.

This is for the palm os. I'm the one that mentioned something about a QBasic type programming langauge. This is really similiar to it a lot of the same syntax with some new custom commands.

I dont think they have a version for non Palm OS's.

it would prolly run code from HP-85 Basic, but I'd have to type it in again. I'll keep it in mind, though. It's only $18.95, too!

Thanks for posting. I may need a PalmPilot. my brother-in-law has one, I think.
