Ok quick question to all of you people, out of interest,
Would any of you prefer to use Vb.net Over Vb Legacy( VB 4 5 6 etc) in a contest?

Sure. I did do exactly that for this inaugural contest. I have been around the legacy Vb block for years and I find it inadequate in terms of flexibility and power.
VB.Net is the precast concrete to VB6's Lego It maybe heavy, but its strong and it doesn't break if you push on it.

Best way i'd say is if every contest caters for both Vb6 & VB.NET, we shoudln't really say Legacy because that allowed pre VB6 and I agree with NotLKH that it shouldn't be used .

I voted no, since I don't use .Net. I plan to use it, but I'll start with C# and C++.

I Personally have no preferance between VB6 and VBNet, at least in developing entries for contests that allow either. Just so long as each are judged only against those others of the same language.
Of course, if you'd allow an individual a total of 2 entries. a VB6 AND a VBNet, instead of just 1 entry, that would be my preferance.
