    Unhappy

This is really beginning to pee me off. over here in the land of blighty, 3 para-troopers are being charged with murder because they killed some croat's whilst protecting the serb's. For people who haven't heard about this, the brittish paratroopers were sen't over as peacekeeper's as part of the UN. they were protecting some serb's in a building when a car started going up and down outside, firing at the building. The paras gave them ample waring to stop but they didn't so they opened fire and killed them. The main reason i'm grumbling is because as usual our govenment is being to faced about everything, as usual. They first of all praise the paras and sas on their mission to rescue the hostages in seira-leone and then porsecute them against their job in a previos conflict. now i'm not a violent man, but if I was in a situation where people where firing in my direction, and they weren't listining to any request's to stop, I'd feel that my life was at risk and return fire, like these trained men did. But as usual burracreccy (sorry about the spelling) is now punishing the people that they employ to do that sort of job. In the future, these men might hessitate and get killed, just becuase they might get prosecuted for doing the their job.
Damn, sometimes I hate this so called civallised world, in which we live in
Yeah, well I'm gonna build my own lunar space lander! With blackjack aaaaannd Hookers! Actually, forget the space lander, and the blackjack. Ahhhh forget the whole thing!

Me too, I just cant understand why humans can fight against humans. Well the answers easy, basically, everyone wants to be the best and get everything. There will be a time where our wars will kill all humans on this planet. And if theres some dozens left the will do the same thingy and any time later the same will happen. And so on. And so on. Until the sun goes off or something will destroy our Earth or the planets we will live on... Theres no way to live forever, but well, its the same for everything other I think,

Humans are intelligent. No, wait, one human is intelligent, more are just stupid!

I agree with you fox, that war is wrong but we can't get away from it at this time. So what is really annoying me is that the people that chose the army as a profession, are being prosecuted becuase they were doing their job. Ok, if they wen't into a peacful area and started mowing down civillians, they should obviously get punished, but not when they are in a war zone, protecting people and getting shot at. they get paid a measly wage for protecting people that are nothing to do with them, and getting punished for doing their jpb. In my view, this is completly wrong and is yet another example of how buggered up our goverment's are.

that's another thing that really annoys me, that some countries you have to do national service whether you like it or not. As I said earlier I am not a violent person at all, and I would hate to have to go in the army fo two years, just becuase my goverment said so, have you done your service yet Fox ?

No since im only 18 yet I didnt. But Ill try to get around that, I really dont want to waste my time in the army!
Well as I know I have to do a service, but Im sure I can get into the "civil security" where I can work in a hospital or something. This will go 1.5x the time I would spend in the army, but its worth it as I think...

I don't get wars, but humans have this need to conquer and
to fight. Throughout history, people have fought one
another over (what I think are) trivial things. Maybe
it is a survival instinct... maybe not. It might just be
    pure greed... who knows.

Anyways, look at all the conflicts all over the world.
War has evolved into something very impressional and
removed. It used to be hand-to-hand... no it's pushing
buttons from the other side of the world. It scary to
consider that the world could not exist 5 minutes from now
because some power-hungry country decided to launch 10
    nukes at it's neighbours.

I can go on, but I won't.. It'll just piss me off more.

    Red face

There should be a setting to totally ignore the immature
and retarded amongst us. They're not adding anything
of value to the conversation, and all they do is waste
everyone's time, and piss everyone off.

    Sherm --

My spelling corrections are a very subtle criticism of the
either the content of the response or the content of the
    thread.

BTW, Not too bad. You managed to get indignant responses
from two entirely different points of view with one post.
    You've got talent, son.

So who is a bat idiot now?
    [/quote]

Hmmmmmmm.....That is a toughie. Allow me to cogitate on
    the issue, Jacka er,ummmm, Batman.

Besides, it's a typographical error. A type error would be
    string instead of integer.

I can be as picky as I wish.

Besides, the movie sucked, the TV wasn't any better, Robin
is ugly and George Clooney couldn't act his way out of a
    wet paper bag.

How exactly would you go about acting yourself out of a wet paper bag? It's a phrase that has long had me bemused.

One could try to act cold and discouraged at being wrapped
in wet brown paper. Clooney can't act anything.
    Schwarzenegger isn't much better.

    Hehe, cheeky fecker.

That's right, fecker. It's an Irish word, it's not obscene, in case anybody was offended.

He's a contractor I'm sure; he keeps (or at least he kept) going on about how much money he earned, so he's not a student. Guess he just got bored.

it's human nature to destroy themselves
I think it was said somewhere in Terminator 2.
Intelligence doesn't imply civilisation, it requires, and vice versa.
Well i just thought up that one, don't know how i can apply it on the subject.....

dennis - thanks for sticking up for us old cronnies of the site

the human race are paracites that think - but then again we don't think when it really matter's. Nature alway's win's. the dinosaurs were unlucky with nature, but we are going up to nature and poking her in the ribs - calling her names. And when nature finally has had enough and decides to clout us one ... bye, bye humans. Don't get me wrong, i'm no tree loving hippy, but if we as a race don't do anything about the way we treat our habbitat, then we can kiss are arses goodbye. And with us gone nature will repair itself and let some other organism evolve into the predomenent species and use our de-compoesed bodies as fuel.

    Aren't I in a happy mode today.

It does not matter how good we care about the nature. There will be a time we will all die, at least when the sun turns off or the universe collapses. The only thing we can change is the time untill this happens, of course it may also be that an asteroid will destroy our earth, but probably we will have weapons to destroy it (not as the dinosaurs )

    ...

Theres no way out, live your life and dont care about anything other.

Yes fox, I completly understand that sometime in the future, the sun's going to burn itself out and then everything kisses it's arse or arses(you never know what the future brings) but by then the humans would probably have found way's of getting to and setting up on new worlds, but if in 500 years time there's nothing left for humans to live in then it's bye bye

Thats of course true, everythings just a question of ethic and moral (sorry if misspelling..), we are now destroying out planet but we won't hit us now, we will destroy our future, but we don't yet care. Our children or their children or whoever will have problems, so why should we care? Now there are people with both opinions and most are something in the middle I think. However, life's a big joke coz there's no goal, there's no sense in keeping a race alive...

I dont know whats better, care for use or for our future, but the answers defined: if you act as an individual you dont care about the future of human race, but if you act as a part of this race you will care about it's future. In nature there are animals from both types, maybe we are just a mistake in that system.

However, I sometimes have the feeling to care about our future (for example I hate printing! I never print anything excepting if my boss really wanty it. Damn printers!), but also I'm an individual and live my own life...

Conclusion: There's no answer to all of these questions, also including all religions, life itselves and the whole universe. You can think as long as you live, but you won't get an answer coz there isn't any. Better live today, you won't live twice!

(wow, didn't think that I could express myself in english )

you done bloody well expressing that.

of course, live you life, do what you want to do, but humans can still do that and preserve our habitat. I wasn't meaning to live in a hut all your life, eating things that you've grown yourself. but as a race we can change the way we are destroying everything and still live out the things we wan't to do

I know this is a bit late but...

    catagorize is spelled categorize.
Not in England it isn't. It's categorise. Hehehe

BTW On the Paras, I don't know enough about that particular situation, but soldiers can murder just like anyone else, and if they do, they should be punished, however, if they were obeying the rules of engagement then they should be cleared. The problem is that they should not have been there in the first place, which was poor political judgement.

    Cheers,

I don't think the human race will come to an end because of war....

us humans are causing lots of polution.. and it's causing a large hole in the ozone layer... which causes global warming, which will cause the polar ice caps to melt, and we will all die....
