[Resolved] File Sharing Network (WinXP and Win2K)

I'm having a problem trying to get printer and file sharing to work between my two networked computers (one using Windows XP, the other Windows 2000).

It seems to work sometimes, and other times tells me:

    \\Family is not accessable.

The network path was not found.
    Any ideas?

which one is the printer on? i have an account on the other one, and I type its IP address, a login box appears, and then I can print to it (W2K workstation)
on the W2K machine I have an account for my laptop, named (surprisingly) LAPTOP.
You may want to map a drive, and set it to auto-connect upon logon so that the drive and printer can be used.
You must have the drives SHARED on both machines in order to see them from each other.

Make sure that there is an identical account on the other PC with the same password. It should then authenticate properly and you shouldn't get that message.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

I did have the accounts up, but I found out it was my firewall that was blocking it. I had to add the IP range into the trusted zones, and now it works fine.

    Thanks for the help.
