    How can I change the color of the backdrop of a DBGrid. Not the forecolor or Backcolor because that only deal with the colums and rows. I talk about what behind the colums and rows the gray area.

    I don't think you will with the DBGrid - you need to get hold of Apex TrueDBGrid - this will allow you to change what you like (you can even have background pictures) - MS FlexGrid might do it - look for the DeadAreaBackColor property.
