A friend and myself are trying to make a website on the Playstation 2, and I was hoping that you guys (or girls) could offer some advice on what makes a successful content.

I would also like to know whhich setups are preferred etc...

    Yeah...

I agree with the above dude, especially with the picture
stuff, make sure you compress jpeg's enough, u know...

And about frames, when you work with them, also when you
work without them; test your site at lower resolutions, or
    make two version...

    Laterz...
To VB or not to VB, that's the question...

Just kidding. (Although it can help)

But seriously, if you advertise that you actually have PS2's then you're in business

    Ok, Now really...

Everyone above me is correct. Content should always be your first concern then concentrate on graphics and flashy effects. After all, what good is a graphic intense website that has no point and no content?

But on the other hand, a PS2 site should be extremely flashy. The content to a video game site is generally graphics so you may already have the content by just adding a few information tips here and there. Include lots of screen shots in the form of thumbnails that can be blown up. That way only the screen shots people want to see will take forever and a day to load rather than every screen shot.

I'd recommend using a lot of flash on your site. If you can afford macromedia's flash product or don't know how to use it, check out www.koolmoves.com. This is a very good flash creator and you can make very professional looking content with it if you practice enough.

If you do want screenshots then add like a link or a smaller version of the image that can be then enlarged (goto another page)
