Pls help me how to control the volume in VB.NET

I am feeling like banging my head .. my boss is aftre my life and i really gone mad if i will nto get the solutions.
pls you guys ( masters) tell me this problem.

I want to create my own volume and mute controls in VB.NET ... just like
sndvol32.exe the system sound control to control the volume of microphone
Psl do let me know how will i do it in VB or VB.NET
I have seen lot more code but all are in VB.

Pls tell me how to control the volume of the microphone only

I'm sure all the VB6 code uses the Win32 API, you can use the same API's in .Net... be sure to change Longs to Integers...
