Ugh, that pisses me off
My girlfriend wanted to move some of her songs from her computer to her laptop. I told her I'd do it, all I needed was a cd.
Her and her brother then told me that they could only fit 12 or so songs on a cd, how was I gonna fit over a hundred?
I told them that I'd be burning them as MP3s instead of WAVs... and then it went downhill.
Her brother seemed to think that it was impossible to have the files smaller, that he could put 100 WAVs on a cd, and that the files would recompress back to MP3 when they were ripped to a computer (sometimes true with certain programs) (Yes, I'm aware those points don't follow).
I told him to go get one of his CDs so I could show him how much bigger the files were, and he did. I put it in the cd tray, etc etc.
Every song on that cd had its size showing as 44 bytes.
I laughed and said that there was no way a song was 44 bytes. He laughed and said I just didn't want to admit I was wrong. I tried to explain that 44 bytes was the equivalent of a TINY picture, but ... I just gave up after 2 minutes.
I mean really... COME ON!
Oh, why did the files show up as 44 bytes?
Don't pay attention to this signature, it's contradictory.

You should send your girlfriend out of the room and stab him in the throat.
Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and you just water down your vodka.
Take credit, not responsibility

on audio cd's(you know, cd's with tracks), you can't actually view the real file size of the track, it shows up as a number in bytes. I am guessing it just shows you the size of the reference to the track, how that is 44 bytes is beyond me....(a simple reference should be smaller)
My monkey wearing the fedora points and laughs at you.

It is the size of the info "header" thingy that a CDA file takes. And explorer only shows the size of the "data" not the tracks it self. It has always been that way.....

They are right and you are wrong.
Everyone knows that most songs are usually smaller than 1k in mp3 format.
You are a willy.
