Go to inetmgr and change the security settings for your web application. Drop Front Page if you can, though. It is t3h s0x0rz. omg.

    Start > Run > inetmgr

I don't believe you haven't used IIS before.

I normally go through admin tools

Where do I set the password. If you mean the site one it is set to anonymous(sp)

Thats probably why you can't get in - you can't spell the password properly.

    Enable Anonymous access.

Also, what do you have in the Extensions tab?

Edit: THere should be an account/username/pwd filled in already. You could give yours if you like, or the admins

Its says in the extensions tab that I need to enable Server extentions in the task option. Which is what I am trying but I get a password box.

My anon username is the pcname (cut and pasted to the username box)

The password is something I cant see

I tried to change it to the admins account but that just means any connections from IE ask for a a password and doesnt work at all.

I am a VB programmer with no Web experiance but this company expects me to do this all by september. It a rubbish web page because I learnt ASP and VB dlls but trial and error from websites

it was all to do with folder security.

I had to set permissions on the folder that contained the DLL

Right click the folder and select security

Thanks all I didnt need Frontpage extensions in the end
