It depends on what you're into. Make a catalog-type app. You could use it to store Book, movie,cd, recipe etc info.

How about automating something that you do on your computer...like making a budget or creating a database of websites with navigation from your app, or how about an app that stores code snippets?
Let me know what you come up with or if you want other ideas.
Regards,
Wade

Here is a suggestion:
In a drawingprogram (Cad) people like to put in a DATE en maybe also the TIME. The drawingprogram can not do that, but can use the Windows clipboard. So, by loading the CAD program, first let a (VB) program put the Date (and time) in the clipboard, then the user can put in the curent date in the drawing by ^P or with a (cad)macro.
(Of course, this can be used on most other programs)

Hi.
How about monitering a specific Directory.
For example: If myDirectory is clicked then a password prompt is launched.
This could be used in a single PC to prevent others from moving/deleting that Dir. and/or it's contents.
If you like the idea, maybe we can help each other.
Good Luck.

hey, Mooose!
one of the most interesting projects i ever did was to make a clone of the ancient "LOGO" program (the one with the turtle), where you type in drawing commands and then the pen moves round the screen accordingly. there are several websites for LOGO and its many clones. I still have my code if you are interested (fully commented too!, because i gave it to a friend as a case study!). It will also teach you valuable string functions, aswell as a short but complex bit of trigonometry!
