    ASP Problems in Windows 2k3

    For some reason when i use IIS in windows server 2k3, asp pages cannot be found on the server. If i enable directory browsing, they are listed, but if i set the default document to "default.asp" (or any other asp page) it gives me an HTTP404 error. But Everything loads fine if i use IIS on XP Pro. Has anyone run across this problem before?

    Go to IIS and see if ASP has been 'locked down' or something to that effect.

    I think i may have found a problem. When you edit the properties for the local computer in IIS and go to the MIME Types, ASP is not listed as a registered extension. So i tried to register ASP in the MIME Types, but still get the 404 error.

    This really is frustrating

    That is not the problem. I don't understand why server 2k3 won't allow these pages to load. I have anonymous access enabled. I have set the default document. I have tried to manually type in the address. I don't see anything, or even how to disable asp pages. I have it set to run scripts. It doesn't make any sense to me one bit. it's crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I just keep getting
    The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
    But the bloody page is there

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
    ::sighs::
    I finally got the stupid thing to work. It was SO EASY!!!

    Under the Web service extensions branch in the tree view of the IIS 6.0 Console, i didn't have active server pages allowed. I feel so stupid for not realizing this in the first place. Anyway, i got it fixed
