Ok... I am positive this is super easy and I just missed something so simple I'm gonna shoot myself when I find out how. So, here goes...

How do I create an exe with vb 6.0 that has a certain icon? I tried the properties but I can't change the icon with that Icon part.

    Please help

When you have selected File > Make EXE and the dialogue box is displayed, click on the Options button at the bottom and you have a chance to select the icon on the right hand side under Application.

I think you missed the point

It gives me no choices except form1. Where would i have to put an icon to use it?

I do have an icon in the main vb folder named test.ico

Bring up the Properties for Form1. There you will find the Icon property. Click on it and enter or browse to the path of the icon you want to use.

Goto Project on hte menu bar, then select your project properties(last choice at the bottom). THen clcik the make tab. There you can change the icon used for the executable.

    Yeah, Microangelo.

Did you make the icon by renaming a BMP file?
Naughty. VB won't like that at all. Try Microangelo.

I've never tried Microangelo, but a GREAT icon editor is Axialis Software's AX Icon 4.5 program. You can get a free shareware version at:

    Good Luck.
