    Suppressing/Selecting Groups in Crystal reports

In crystal, I group a number of records.

but i want to NOT display a group if for exampe its sum(amountDue) <= 0

Im guessing the solution will be somewhere in the select expert, formula's, group formula...

EDIT: Logically i want to add a HAVING sum(amountDue) > 0 for my groups

    cheers

You can right click the group or detail section you want to conditionally
suppress and then check "Suppress section and click on the
corresponding formula button. Enter something like this formula
which will suppress if less then zero and not suppress if greater
    then zero.

    Code:
    IF {qryName.Ttl_Events} < 0 THEN TRUE
    ELSE FALSE
    HTH

thanks very much for the tip, looks handy, ill probably use it in my other reports..

my group selection formula wasnt working because

i assumed that because it knew it was a GROUP selection formula the following would work

    sum(amountdue) > 0

and it would evaluate that for EACH group.

but apparently not, u must still specify

    sum(amountdue, groupingid) > 0

this catches me out EVERY time! crystal isnt as smart as i would like 2 be

    No prob.

Hey, did they change the ability to do in-line image posting?
I cant get the image to display like I usually can. I also noticed
that the new limit for attachments is reduced down to 512k.
