don't laugh me for this question.........
Hi all,
I was asked by my supervisor to decide which development tool should I choose for a software application. I decided to go with visual studio.net. Then they ordered it, it turns out to be almost 10 cds in a package.
I expected only one cd to install the visual studio.net, in my package, there is lots of other that I don't know what/how to use them, such as exchage server service pack 3, windows 2000 advance server service pack, commerce server development tools...
I wonder if these are just bonus software or required/needed for visual studio.net
I programmed vb for years, but really the first time get in touch with .net. i asked this question here because I work with non-technical person so I guess no one here in my office knows this question better than myself

Just a bunch of extra stuff. You dont NEED any of it, they have nothing to do with Visual Studio.

yeah, you really only need the prerequisite CD, the VS.NET CDs, and the MSDN CD's (for help files which you really want)

You need to send the CDs to me. I'll check 'em out and let you know what you need.
