No Stored Procedures or Functions
I should be able to go to Server Explorer and create a stored procedure or a function as per the help files. I do not have any menu choices or the ability to create them. Any idea why? Here is the MS help on adding a SP. I do not have a SP folder. or the choose new SP on the menu.
To create a new stored procedure
In Server Explorer, right-click the Stored Procedures folder or any stored procedure in that folder.
Choose New Stored Procedure on the shortcut menu.

VS .NET 2003 Pro is what it supposed to be, I was just looking into that. Its version 7.1.3088. How do I find out if that is in fact professional? We bought the pro version but I was not given the originals as they only buy a license and use the selects.

I just talked to the IT staff and they cant find the originals, so they are going to order a new copy of the CD's. Is there a difference between Pro and Academic Pro?

Nope it should be available in Pro. Heres from MS.
Product/Feature Professional
Microsoft SQL Server 2000
Design stored procedures, indexes, tables, triggers, user-defined functions, and other database elements visually. In Visual Studio .NET Professional, these design capabilities are limited to the SQL Server Desktop Engine.

I have found that I can create a SP on the server thru the dataadapter. This is just weird.

Pro and Academic Pro should be identical in abilities, but Academic has restrictions on the license.
