I can't remember why. But for some reason there were two VB.NET forums.

If you use the forum jump button you can get to it and there is a post explaining why:

    http://www.vbforums.com/forumdisplay...e=2&forumid=49
    PHP || MySql || Apache || Get Firefox || OpenOffice.org || Click || Slap ILMV || 1337 c0d || GotoMyPc For FREE! Part 1, Part 2

    | PHP Session --> Database Handler * Custom Error Handler * Installing PHP * HTML Form Handler * PHP 5 OOP * Using XML * Ajax * Xslt | VB6 Winsock - HTTP POST / GET * Winsock - HTTP File Upload

Latest quote: crptcblade - VB6 executables can't be decompiled, only disassembled. And the disassembled code is even less useful than I am.

The one links to the other. It was a matter of organizing topics within categories on the site.

I wonder how many more times this "bug" keeps getting noticed before Brad tears his hair out.

Unless you're talking about nose hairs.

    A solution?

The description for the .Net forum under the Visual Basic group is

Drop in here to discuss the new Visual Basic .NET, or anything to do with VB .NET programming.

and the description for the .Net forum under the .Net group is

Discuss Visual Basic.NET or anything to do with VB.NET programming.

Would it make sense to change the latter description to something like the following?

Jump to the Visual Basic.NET forum where you can discuss the new Visual Basic .NET, or anything to do with VB .NET programming.

BTW in any case it's probably time to remove the "the new" adjective(?) from the descriptions.

Wouldn't it be easier to just have it showing the real forum there instead of inserting a redirect or doesn't the forum let you do that?

I think you misunderstood what he said.I think he meant, they should have the same link twice instead of using Redirection, not duplication.

I guess its not possible to have same forum listed twice whouth the use of redirection thats why they have it this way..

I don't believe it is possible to have the same forum in the current structure of the software we are using. As such, the redirect works for what we are trying to do-- list the forum in two sections.
