advanced bitblt tutorials
does anyone know where i could find some?
i dont wnat to get into direct x yet, untill i go and buy the book on pay day :-D

I don't really know of any good tutorials.
Try Planet-Source-Code.Com
Search there VB section for BitBlt.
BitBlt can be slow...A 2D scroller without music lagged on my comp, and with music it was un-playable, which is why I switched to DirectX.
So I suggest you get into DirectX asap and don't bother wasting your money on a book, where you can <Removed By Moderator> or at least find free tutorials around the net. "directx4vb.com".

no offence but its probly the way it was coded, if coded correctly with buffers etc bitblt can produce some amazing results, ok it cant compare to firect x in results but it can do a dam good job
