    Post Need some Ideas...

    Hey,

    I've just finished working on some VB.Net projects dealing with different .Net technologies,

    I'm very dynamic person. So I don't want to set here, can you please give me some ideas for new projects?

    To help, I'll list some of what I have on my machine

    2 HDs: 120GB + 20GB
    120GB HD: Downloads, My music CD copies, DVD duplicates, game CDs backups....etc
    20GB HD: One operating System (Windows XP SP2 RC2)

    This is the ICS Gateway machine on my crossover network, I have another ICS client connected to this PC holding some other stuff.

    Think about the daily problems(downloading issues, music sorting,file searching...etc) that face you when you work with your computer .

    have you tried creating software to do maintenance on pc's? such as defragmenting, cleaning temp files, disk error checking etc? this may be out of reach for vb but certainly a challenge i'd say.

    Lol.. I just think it would be pretty fascinating stuff to write... not even so much as to prevent piracy as they state in the article... but to build little bot programs that could monitor other parts of the application for performance and deadlocks... and somehow adjust it to fit the users' most common tasks... or the network structure..

    Guys first thank very good ideas.

    but here I got some interesting idea: Don't you think it's good for every programmer to face a real challenge? I think you all should try this as I'm goin to: I want to write some sort of "Intellisence" program that wisely watches my library (116.35GB!!), gives my a good reports on every tiems it "realizes" that there is some change in the library, give some "guidance" when it find some redundant files which are cloned - or already exist in the library with a different name that looks to be older or too smaller...

    Why don't you inherit FileSystem Watcher class and add whatever you like . The point is : it's there , it's ready you don't have to reinvent what you want to achieve .
