Sending Pictures
I am creating a chatting prog and I am trying to make something like the display pictures on msn. How would I send the pictures over the internet? Would I use winsock to do this? If yes how? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thnx.

SendMessage API
Private Declare Function SendMessage Lib "user32" Alias "SendMessageA" (ByVal hwnd As Long, ByVal wMsg As Long, ByVal wParam As Long, lParam As Any) As Long
Private Const WM_PASTE = &H302
Clipboard.Clear
Clipboard.SetData ***picture here***
SendMessage box.hwnd, WM_PASTE, 0, 0
The box cannot be a textbox, as this does not support graphics

Send via winsock.
www.winsockvb.com has some good tutorials.

It depends how big the pictures are. If they are huge, you may want to convert the picture to a Byte array and send that. Or, if they are pretty small, you could just get the width, height, and then the value of each pixel in the picture and send that.
Its really up to you.

The msn DPs are 96x96.
But there are some addons to bypass the resizing
