Is anyone getting "invalid link" errors?

Over the past couple days, I've been noticing this:

I'll write my reply or new thread, and click Submit. Then, instead of getting the redirection page, I get the "invalid link" page. Or, the page telling me that I don't have permission to view it.

I then hit backspace, and click submit again, and everything works fine.

Anyone else having the same problem? How can I fix this, btw? I've already cleared my cookies.

Hmm... I got the same error while posting THIS thread! Here's a snapshot, although I know I could have just copy-pasted the text.

I have had this a couple of times mind I didn't get the error page you got I got the one that means it couldn't find the host. Like when you unplug from the net then try to view a page.....I've been putting it down to my connection but didn't think others were getting it. Doesn't happen too much though, happen a couple of times in one day about 3-4 days ago.

It happend to me a week a go or so...maybe less. But only once...

And then there was that time in that thread with SLH and Electroman, when suddenly some of my threads took 30sec or so to be added. Sounds like the server is a bit stressed out some times.

They were messing with the servers for a few minutes a couple of times last week. If anyone is getting problems still, let me know.

It's started again. Now it's happening every second or third post I make.

What exactly are they messing with?

I've a question out to our system admins to ask if anything is going on with this server or system.

There's something else that I've noticed: It only happens when I'm at home. When I'm at work, there are no problems.

    So could this be:

    Cookie-specific
    IP specific
OS specific (I doubt that though) (XP Prof at home, Win 2K3 at work)

Depends really upon what they were messing with.

This problem still occurs. It only occurs from home. Never at work.

Is there anything I should be trying? Suggestions please!!!

I've got that error accouple of times long ago... and then it just disappeared.

Try clearing the VBF cookies? I doubt its your OS, I'm on XP Pro anyway...

When it submits a new post, as I understand its all done through POST, not a cookie or anything, so it could only be the server not giving you the right forum to post in, or your browser forgetting it along the way or something like that..

I dunno how much cookies have to do with it, but maybe it'll work.

FireFox, both at office and home.

The frequency of this occuring has reduced somewhat after I cleared the cookies and started afresh.

I'll try IE at home today and see if the problem repeats...
