Nothing Happens......
OK, sometimes when I start up my PC, i can move the mouse and click on stuff, the little hourglass shows up....but then nothing happens, so then i ctrl_alt_del and nothing happens...so i wait..and i wait...and then 2 mins later everything I tried to do happens all at once. Any idea what this might be?

What OS? Sometimes programs that are set to run once, run from the registry or something can halt system bootup while they do their thing. I'd say it's a program that starts up in the registry, it takes tooo long todo it's thing, halts the boot process, then it finishes and Windows piles it all on.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

I think thats probably it. I got steam for CS booting on startup, AIM, MSN and SnagIt. Lemme try removing a few of those.

Could be windows doing network stuff; when occasionally it failed to find the DHCP server on my uni network, windows did this to me.
