    How would I?

1-I'm a complete newbie in VB, and I'd like to begin learning it. Where would I find a good tutorial(s) to get me on feet.

2-Where can I find a tutorial to create this small program: A user selects a file - the program parses the file, and replaces certain records with other ones - program saves the file with a new name.

    Thanx in adavnce

Planet Source Code is one of the best VB sites I use, especially if you upload your code. You can search on there for the ideas you want.

There is a slight restriction thou. You can only download about 5 or 6 apps before you have to register with them. This is no problem, email address and password. Reply to the email confirmation and your in.

The other place I would look is eBay. There are loads of books and CD's on there at reasonable prices.

I've been programming with VB for 25 years. Started with VB4 16bit Pro, VB5 Pro, VB6 Pro/Enterprise and now VB3 Pro. But I'm no expert, I'm still learning.
