[resolved]Tough question for someone who knows alot about windows

    Hello

Occasionally explorer.exe starts using up all my cpu. According to processexplorer the thread in explorer.exe doing it is something like "ntdll.dll!RtlPcToFileHeader+0x352". On its stack there is "RtlReAllocateHeap+0xba3". Im not sure if thats helpfull. This usually happens after Ive been looking at avi files. My guess is its something to do with buggy codecs or something .

If you have any suggestions please let me know. This is ruining my holiday

    Thanks a lot!

Run a disk check utility to make sure you are not about to tank...

Solved it All I had to do was disable webcontent on my desktop. Im not sure what that means, or what Ive done but nothing bad seems to have come of it. Hopefully it wont cause another problem down the track.
