The search for ads

This adblock thing for firefox is amazing! I'm currently playing the "go to random sites and block ads" game.

I'll then condense the list using wildcards etc etc... and be almost ad free!

Anyways, anyone have some good blocks for ads? (haha)

I'm doing the same thing.

Someone posted about it in another thread, so I installed it and now I'm going to every site I know and blocking stuff.

AdBlock needs:

Move Filter Up/Down buttons

To be included with default firefox stuff instead of the image blocker thing!

Haha, that would make it hard to browse the forum. (I've tried blocking vbforum images before.. it isn't pretty)

I have this useful one though:

"*http://www.vbforums.com/icom_includes/footers/*"

Oh, I put *s in front of ones with *s at the end so they end up at the top of the list (just found the sort option!).

It puts the text links up the top next to "VB Wire News" (i think).

I found that the most effective way to block flash was to not install it at all.
