Open Existing Project Date Modified Doesn't Update

In the start screen where it lists your projects, why doesn't the date modified change?
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

It's a kind of silly feature in VS .NET 2003 for which I couldn't find a workaround.

that IS pretty annoying. I think it's a bug. I looked on MS but never found anything myself.

Damn, well, hopefully Whidbey will have the problem fixed.

Thanks for the replies, looks like I'm stuck with it .

It might be the date that the Solution was last modified, not necessarily the date that something was modified in it.

I calssify it as a bug as it certainly did not happen like that in VS 2002.

If you modified the project, then the date modified changed. In VS 2003, it appears that once you create the project, the modified date does not change.

I didn't think it did it in 2002 either, could be wrong, didn't use it all that much, pretty much went straight to 2003.
