    User Names

    If you have a web site that is on a server which does not support .htacess, is there a way that you can password protect a portion of you web site (directory or otherwise).

    I want to create a members only part of the web site but I have come to a road block. Any links to example scripts or web sites that have how toos. Anything would be great.

    Thank you,

    Re: User Names

    Which language are you using? It is usually possible to do this but we'll need to know which language you intent to use before we can help.
    PHP || MySql || Apache || Get Firefox || OpenOffice.org || Click || Slap ILMV || 1337 c0d || GotoMyPc For FREE! Part 1, Part 2

    | PHP Session --> Database Handler * Custom Error Handler * Installing PHP * HTML Form Handler * PHP 5 OOP * Using XML * Ajax * Xslt | VB6 Winsock - HTTP POST / GET * Winsock - HTTP File Upload

    Latest quote: crptcblade - VB6 executables can't be decompiled, only disassembled. And the disassembled code is even less useful than I am.

    I am good at VB but most people have that disabled on their browser. I guess I would/can use Java. Any help would be appreciated. If you private message me, I can give you my email (if needed).

    Most CPanels have the option to Password Protect directories as long as they exist (you can't create the directory via CPanel).

    ThrowAway(Pepsi, Garbage)
    Else If HavePepsi = True
    Drink(Pepsi)
