    Announcement: siteDirector .NET released

NC Software releases siteDirector .NET – Enterprise HTTP 404 Error Handler for ALL Web Sites
    June 23, 2004

siteDirector .NET is a utility designed to work on all Windows/IIS based web sites to manage/redirect HTTP 404 “Page Not Found” errors. Easy-to-use intuitive interface allows easy viewing of collected 404 “Page Not Found” requests against any web site and allow mapping to target resources to eliminate page not found errors. siteDirector .NET is affordable and available in two licensing schemes; a $39.99 per web site license or a $399.99 server license for unlimited web site use.

siteDirector .NET uses the powerful and reliable Microsoft® .NET Framework™ technology to deliver a robust application that requires zero maintenance or upkeep yet performs its tasks with low overhead. siteDirector .NET uses a high-speed collector to capture HTTP 404 Error Requests made of a IIS web site hosted on Windows™ servers. Use tokens and/or wildcards to quickly map 404 error requests to valid resources ensuring visitors find what they are looking for without knowing a redirect ever took place. Maintain search engine rankings and improve search engine exposure with valid links and successful referrals. Redirects are instantaneous using the self-contained lookup system built for performance with no dependencies such as Microsoft® SQL Server™.

Simple installation and deployment are handled by XCOPY deployment, i.e. FTP the handful of files to your web site and configure IIS to pass all 404 errors to the 404.aspx listener and that’s all there is to it. An easy to use web interface allows quick mappings of collected 404’s to target resources. siteDirector .NET also works with IIS web sites with multiple domains bound to the individual IIS site configuration allowing dynamic pages to be properly targeted based on domain name references.

Receive e-mail notifications of 404 errors in preset 404 quantities to keep informed of requested resources that were not found and resulted in a 404 error page presented to the visitor. No need to continually monitor a web page, siteDirector .NET will deliver the status of 404’s to you at which can be handled at any time. Tokens can be used such as “LTR – Log Then Redirect” to collect a 404 error but automatically redirect to a defined resource such as the main web site page.

siteDirector .NET is the most powerful HTTP 404 Error handler available. ASP.NET solutions employing a customError 404 handler will only collection ASP.NET errors and not errors coming in via normal HTTP handling such as .HTM, .ASP, and .PHP pages. With siteDirector .NET, error handling works directly with Internet Information Services (IIS) to handle ALL errors resulting in a page not found and handles them accordingly. Web site owners no longer have to worry about updating pages, moving sites, e-commerce migrations.

siteDirector .NET is a must for all web sites. Check out the siteDirector .NET web site today at http://sitedirector.nc-software.com. Useful links below:

The solution here would be for him to share his source code with us for free since he wants to advertise for free
