    Future Devlopement advice

Does anyone know what languages they think will be most popular in the future or looked for by most employers?

I'd say VB.NET although this isn't based on much, but virtually every job add i see in for VB says that their client will be updating to VB.NET shortly. Also i see i lot of jobs advertised for VB.NET on its own. Though again this is just based on light observation but i doubt very much that Microsoft would have put as much effort into producing the .NET launguage if they weren't pretty sure that it was the way to the future.

A lot of people jokingly diss M$ but to be fair they create incredible technology, if you can call software technology, and are very clever at the business side of things. One of their main strengths is forseeing the needs of the software future and they obviously think that .NET is that.

Also with ASP.NET growing like it is makes sense to go for VB.NET.
