    Question

    i'm looking for a good book to get me started with VB 6--have little (or no) programming experience, but need to start learning it now.

    There are some book reviews at vb-world. If you want to buy a book, maybe you can first get it from a library. So, you can see if you like the book.

    Search amazon.com for books. It's a great resource for books before you buy them.

    You can also learn a lot from the forums. There are a lot of helpful people, if you have problems. And you learn a lot from the problems of other people.

    Thumbs up Ok this should help, does teach some poor coding standards though

    Teach Yourself Visual Basic 6 in 24 Days

    Allows for coding, testing code, etc. Starts with the basics and builds to a medium level of understanding. As stated though it does teach some poor coding standards and techniques.
