    Question Email detection Project

    Hey,

    Is it possible to write a program that can detect when you receive an email just like the many of the instant messengers do. How would I go about it?

    I thought about using Web Methods but I've searched everywhere for methods defined by Hotmail or Yahoo that allow you to check the status of your inbox..I appreciate any help!
