Does anyone know why asp pages sometimes don't get parsed into HTML by a browser but rather the browser will ask you if you would like to download or open from location.
Anyone familiar with this? I have win 2k and IIS 5
=/
What makes it really frustrating is that this only happens with certain asp files, others run fine - even if I setup the link in the same manner to a *nearly* identical page..

never came across that one
but maybe you should double check your code..
it should only ask on save if you didn't have IIS

There are Microsoft KB articles on it -
But they are usually pretty useless and have proven to be with this problem too. I think it has to be something I don't have configured right in Internet Information Services..

Is the script in a directory that doesn't allow scripts to be run?
Or perhaps the ASP parser was havin a KitKat

hmm..
Bastard ASP files are in same DIR as ASP files that work -
It's not my code because there isn't any asp in it, yet.
I can rename it to .htm but that's just a quick fix..
I'm about to go digging through KB articles *shudder*
