That has got to be the WORST tutorial I have ever seen.
Very bad practices, very bad design, very bad spelling, very bad grammar, did I mention bad VB practices...that is why the C programmers think VB is so lousy...people like that.
Do not use this tutorial if you want to learn to write effective code. Bound data is hardly any good..and either is using End :-(.

I started writing a tutorial a few months, theres an incomplete one in these forums, under Resources, Tutorials i think, named "Beginners guide to VB6". Its not the best, but does include detailed info and code for getting started

I never used a tutorial. I just started out making from nothing. Well... I had C64 BASIC knowledge when I started out. It didn't take too long to make some simple programs. First one was a midi player I think. I've learned a lot by seeing what others do - you could call it stealing if you like. But I steal with style: I take what I need and make it fitting my needs, because often you find code that isn't 100% what you want, but almost. This is going too offtopic and thus I end here.

Ok here is my Tutorial
http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=281623
It does only show basic information, but detailed alot.
Also merri, i agree totally, whilst many people go out and use Source code to make there program. ie just change the interface, i dont. I used Source code to see "How that was done", i then re-write the code to my needs and place it under my program, re-writing the routine of things. I guess this might be considered stealing, but then just think, if its open source then how can it be wrong? At the end of the day, Planet Source Code has got me out ofa lot of s**t, off course not as much as this forum
