Merge
Would any software developer who produces free softwarebe interested in merging their group with Babya Software Group, my group to avert legal issues with Omar Rizwan's Cetudev (who has threated legal action)?

I think you'll find that any company that makes free software woule probably not have the budget to pursue legal action

He has threatend me with real legal action-and will close down my programs websites. My program is copyrighted by me:
'Babya System uses GPL software-eg wav2mp3 is included and uses OGG
Vorbis-open-source. Also, I do have automatic copyright protection for no
cost, as I am based in Australia and do have automatic Australian copyright
(no copyright registration is required) since March 19, 2001.
Plus some icons/visuals were created by me'-he says it is illegal. I need to merge to avoid having legal action by him.

What does this mean?
From http://babyasystem.portal.dk3.com/
Congratulations! You have now a web portal installed!. You can edit or change this message from the Administration page, you can use your DK3.com login. There aren't any registered/default user, so maybe you want to open an account for you. Now, have fun using our new site!
Just by going to your site, without at all informing me before it happened, you installed some dodgy progie on my pc, propably riddled with spyware!
I'm going to SUE!!!!

Your software is crap - so I wouldn't bother worrying about it. Get a real job instead.

Yes, I do own the copyright-but he thinks he owns. Omar does not have most of the Babya sourcecode-he says:
Sorry for the flame email, but due to the merger, we now legally posess
the
Australian copyright. Now I can legally say that you hold illegal
copies of
Babya code. Please either stop development or delete any illegal code
from
public access and your own hard drive, or I will contact proper
authorities.
I have also seen your Babya clarifications post, and I also wish that
you
state that:
CetusLink is separate from Babya (put it in the title)
and refer to my Cetus Clarifications post.
As for the street cred thing, it looks to me as if you are trying to
get out
of providing a clear answer to your own question. I would, however,
like to
see this new Babya Discoverer code. I know beforehand you have to
change the
name, but I want to check for any similarities in code.
You claim wav2mp3 for Babya is 'open-source,' but if so, why is the
source
not open? Another flaw you didn't fix. By doing that, you have violated the GPL.
The site must go down, as it uses the Babya name in the URL. Any
icons/visuals you made are usable by you.
You must remember, you agreed to the original deal which requires that
you
use BS7 or Babya's Program.
He is now threating contacting the authorities-please email him at [email protected]- ask him stop at once.

This is Omar. As usual, I have some major news. Babya will merge with the CetusDev Group. But I am just informing aafuss (and the public) of the development policies of the new software body. Click read more for more info.
Now that Babya is being developed under our group, I want to make one thing clear: Aafuss will not develop Babya under our group. We are officially giving aafuss a choice: stay as a non-developer beta tester, or leave with Babya System 7-8 (no finder, since it's the same as BS9) and Babya's Program.
It's not hard to explain my reasons for doing this; first of all, we don't need a sister project distracting us, and second of all, we want to move this project to serious levels.
So good luck, aafuss. You can post your choice here or e-mail me. Thanks for the support, but bye Babya
Rude fellow, isn't he.

One thing clear: this was all done when I was half joking.
CetusDev is NOT affiliated with babya anymore. I would tell you more on what products we're developing, but just look at the site: www.geocities.com/atesyu2002/
I don't want to advertise anymore, since this joke has caused us many a problem.

Well, aafuss has been known as a newsgroup "troll" for some time now. We've been trying to separate for a while, and this was a half-serious 'attempt.' Do a search for Babya System and you'll see.
We are now separate, and are pursuing more serious ideas.
