That should be a last resort, i hope you have dual partitions, ex:
one for The OS , one for Media ect. you could just wipe the os partition and save your data
or you could try

It was the last resort. Hence being up till 2am comment. Considering I also jump on people whos first reaction to a problem is re-install windows

EVERYTHING was tried. Virus scans..ad removal, spy removal, repair, servcei packs, etc. It was completely fubard
