    [RESOLVED] How do I install a new hard drive in XP?

    I have a new hard diska drive and I tried to connect it to my pc as slave.. Windows XP recognized it, but it doesn't appear on "my computer". What do I need to do? Its not formatted yet right? Thats why it still doesnt appear on "my computer", how can I format it in Windows XP? Are there any more problems thats why it doesnt appear on my computer?

    right click my computer open management
    goto disk management

    partitionn as required

    formatin is done automatically

    Make sure you format as NTFS too, unless you have some weird reason why you need FAT32.
    I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)
