    BTEC National Diplomas worth much?

    Hi this question is to all the Programming pros out there

    i finish my BTEC national Diploma in Software development in 2 weeks and am going to do software enginnering at uni

    my question is is the BTEC national Diploma in Software development worth much in industry ?

    I suppose so. I have one in computer studies. However the industry is dead at the moment so you have to be a rocket scientist or just cheap in order to get a job. university is a good idea just enjoy it because work is boring as hell

    Amen. In college you have fun, but you're broke. So you decide that you need to get out and start making some money (that and its kinda of harsh on the ego when you've been there 8 years, and your friend's little brother is a freshmen in your psych class)..

    then you work for a while... you end up having kids... and all that money just goes out the door anyway.

    Oh well gotta go, wife comin in...

    I second that, at least every semester was a complete different challenging situation, now Im stuck here sitting around getting richer and richer but with no challenge...damn!
