    Basically I know quite a lot of the SQL language, Access and VB, but Im not sure of all the jargon surrounding database connectivity - ODBC, DAO etc etc, I was looking for resources (preferably websites) which explain from the bottom up.... Im sure theres a lot of people in this situation...

    I'm actually in a similar situation.
    Here are a few good articles that have helped me get started.

    Also I'd have a look at the microsoft web site for ADO, DAO, and RDO.
    Also for brief explanation have a look at http://www.whatis.com
