    Unhappy Chernobyl Virus Attack

    Chernobyl virus attacked my Computer on 26 April and erased all the data on hard disk.
    I installed windows 2000 on next day , It was installed properly and working correct. But
    When I restarted my computer it gives error before starting windows
    (NTLDR is missing , Press Ctl + Alt + Del to restart you compter)
    When I pressed the Ctl + Alt + Del it gives the same error again and again. Wondows are not getting started.
    Anybody can help me . What is the problem and its solution.

    boot up on your windows CD and try a repair install (i think windows 2k has that option).

    Chernobyl is a nasty little £$%^&* Just be garteful it didn't reflash your BIOS. I'd download the hard drive maker's diagnostic utility and do a low-level format, then you'll have to re-install Win2000 (you can re-partition and high-level format from setup). It's the safest way though.
