I decided this morning to take a look on the new york post website to see if they have anything to report on the latest fighting in Iraq, and was quite surprised and confused to see this...
So, it calls the Iraqis cowards. Yet it also refers to the battles as a "fierce firefight" and "intense fighting".
How exactly are the two men pictured necessarily cowards ?
Microsoft MVP : Visual Developer - Visual Basic [2004-2005]
This is the only news piece I've read that neglects to mention the importance of this violance. In that it is Shias, the ones who suffered most at the hands of Saddam and who most wanted to see the back of him. So thay can no longer claim that it is Saddam loyalist and foreign fighters.
You have to consider the source. The New York Post is well known for it's shock and awe type cover stories etc. It's less than a respectable publication imho.
I have more respect for the NY post than some of the idiots on this board.
These militia guys are exactly that, cowards.
First off, they're bullies. Bullies are willing to menace and intimidate their own population into going along with what they want, which is access to power. They seize hostages, hide in mosques, use kids for reconaissance and civilians for shields.
Yeah, the mafia does the same thing. Recruit from the poor with the promise of a better life through the power of intimidation. Yeah, I guess that makes them heroes.

Nobody said they were hero's. Simply that they are not cowards. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?
As for bullying, isn't that exactly what G.W. Bush was trying to do before the war? "You're either with us, or against us." etc. But Bullying isn't cowardice either. No matter how you cut it, they're not cowards.
