Bus(es) from CPU to GPU [Resolved]

Do all communication from the CPU to the GPU go through the FSB or does it get sendt directly to the AGP bus?

Check the Intel site for diagrams of how it works. Look for AGP specifically.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

Look here. But everything needs to go thru the FSB, which for most part is the memory and bus (PCI-bus) controller. The CPU does only communicate with the FSB, not much more
    VB6 & C# (WCF LINQ) mostly

Depends on whether you mean Athlon 64/Opteron or not.

AFAIK, with P4s/Athlon XPs/etc. it goes like this:

CPU --[FSB]--> Northbridge --[AGP]--> Video card

But with A64/Opteron there is no FSB per se...just that funky HT link. Read up at anandtech if you want to know more.

Thanks for all information and links. It cleard up a lot. I just wanted to know if the FSP also was a bottle neck when you send information to a GPU.

    Thanks
