Has anyone else noticed the recent and rapid acceleration to power of "Spleen" and all associated randomness. What can it mean, is it more than a mere lifestyle choice, or are we all being fooled by a nonscenseical jape being played by a higher power - the power of spleen.

"SPLEEN" - The choice of a new generation
Spleen -
A lifestyle choice, a celebration of randomness and missdirection. The greatset things - or at least the most significant things can never be planned expected or prepaired for. Spleen is different to each and everyone of us but we shall be united in the common belief that all is random.

I tell you man - spleen is geting big, do a search on yahoo for spleen, theres definately something a brewing. A friend of mine - quite a spiritual chap scences movment in the force ( sort of thing ) . He said 'Spleen' is a celebration of all that is random. Things are always more interesting when unexpected or unplanned for. Dosn't apply to everything, beach each action can be traced back through cause and effect to an inexplicable random occurance.
Is it random - or is it a higher power - you know - like gates and his new mind control software!

Everything can reduce down to a random - unmeasureable quantity. Like numbers, you're safe wi' numbers - but can you actually get your head around infinity? Numbers have order, black and white - but poeple are an unknown quantity. There are no real rules as to why anything happens - there is always an exception to the rule and so the rule is disproved. People like to think they have order. o have that means to essentially not think for youself - to take orders from a stronger willed person, that in itself is a random existance. If you can't think for yourself, how can you possibly expect to understand the true workings of anothers mind. We all just blindly accept that all is well. I feel though that we should embrace and encourage random thought and exprssion. Thats where thebig ideas come from. Accidents!

laws of physics (i aint an expert, i might make mistakes)
but i thought everything was in MOTION
and every motion is caused by something
so there no random thing
and everything has a CAUSE
let say
if i kick you you wont feel the pain til i actually do the kick
now will i just kick you out of random? nope
well i could try and you take it as random
but this random doesnt make sense
sorry

On a spiritual level.
If everything followed the laws of physics, everyone would think in the same way, eg:
Take two people. One's favorite colour is red and the others is blue. They both recignise the difference between the two colours and agree they see them the same way. The reason they can distinguish between the two colours is the diffenet physical wavelenghts of the two colours, yet one person has an affinity for one wave lenght and the second for the other. By a physical definition this is 2 + 2 = 5. Shouldn't they both have the same taste as they are being exposed to the same physical environment. The reason for this is unknown. You can't measure or even realistically speculate as to the cause and effet of the physical world and on the human mind, thus uncontrollable actions and reactions occur that have no proven solid expalnation from the scientific community.
See what I mean. Get the constituant elements that make up a human in the right proportions, try to teach it VB, or fed it, indeed encourage it to live - no dice. explanation between animation and lifeless objection is ignored. The fact wee live is accepted. But ny emotive state is random because everyone thinks differently.

I don't think you understand physics very well because the color thing is invalid for your point. Does anybody remember the thread Gen-x used when he explained against randomness. I don't necesssarily agree with it but It will give skeen here something to think about.

What was his point - or where can I read it?
Oh and, are you saying colours are not distinguished by their wavelenghth?

Ok - busted
Yeah - I enjoy a modicome of chemical intake, and yes for me it does increase any random existenz if you will. But it keeps the human condition alive. If you're not a consumer in the modern western world, you don't fit in. To me thats bullshit. If you know exctly whats going to happen, whats the point of waiting for it to execute?

i was not talking about the wavelength for colors. I was refering to one being a favorite for one but different for another. I'll try and find that thread when I have some time for ya.

your not only high
but little bit crazy i might add
i already told you
EVERYTHING has a cause
let me use your language
if you tell the computer to pick a random number
first you have to give it a range to pick from
and program it to pick the number
your STILl the cause
so everything has a CAUSE

Everything has a reason - but is it random?
Machines are logical - minds are not (always)!
Equating minds to machines is like comparing TeaBags and Nato, proves nothing about anything.
What is the cause for one person enjoying the colour red and one person hating it - that follows no semblece of order, and as Spock would say - "Highly Illogical". If you can explain that with a scientifically reasoned argument, then i'll believe you.

Wow Man
You must be a new messiah or something to understand the universe to such a great extent.
Did You build it or something?
Explain why then:
If you take all the constituany=t parts of a human in the correct quantity and order, it will not live?
For surely we live beacause of our physical "measureable" makeup and not indeed to do with an unmeasureable quantity like - the mind for instance?

me build the universe? hehe i thought about it but i didn't have the might.. someone else with might did it thou
what about the mind?
yes we need our physical body to live
thats the basics
and most of the time YOU control the mind
so thats not random
dude drop this random stuff you are not making sense
and your hurting my head trying to figure out what the hell you saying
one more and i will make the kicks random
