Thumbs up BitCore Accelerator 2004. New download manager.

    Hey,

I'm working on a new program called BitCore Accelerator 2004. It is a download manager with some nice features. One of my favourites is the possibility to hide the download window in tray, and then the tooltip will show the progress of the download.

Anyway, I would like to know what you think of the program itself, and suggestions of what you think I could add.

To download and try the latest version click the attached file.

    So, please post your comments!

Well i am developing a bot that will download files from IRC and i am facing some problems that you might help me resolve.
Before is tarted this IRC bot thing i had to design my own socket class and i did it through async delegates(instead of using threading).
This raises me a BIG problem. If I try to connect to a wrong ip or something that would raise a bug when using async callbacks instead of raising the error in the line of code of the Connect() method it will raise it anywhere in the app(in the Application.Run(new MainFrm()) most of the times). Is there any work-around against this?

I'd love to try out the app but I've got 2mB download speed. Would that accelerate my dsl or is it targeted for dial up users?

2mb download speed?! I wish I had that...anyway, I actually dont know if it will speed up your connection, since its already that fast but try it and let me know.

So, does anyone else have any comments?

Oh well, its still better than my 56K .

Anyway, I'm going to make a website devoted to this project only. It will contain updates and information, etc. about the program. You may not think that this is the best download manager out there, but at least I enjoy making it!

New features I'm planning to add:
    - Possibility to save the list of URLs to an external file, which will be loaded when the program starts, and adding the URLs to the list.

    - Be able to see the transfer rate (download speed) of the download.

    - Some more "details" to the download window.

    - Being able to Pause the download and continue downloading it another time (maybe not in next version but I'm working on it).

That was all for now! Please comment on the program.
